Our Team

The church is run by our team vicar Father Alex Barrow who is ably assisted by our church wardens John and Jan Wright. Father Alex is supported by non-stipendiary priest Peter King and our part-time curate Sylvie Collins-Mayo. We have a proud musical tradition at All Saints and we are lucky enough to have our own musical director, James Cryer, who is also our church organist.

MUSIC AT

All Saints

Music & Choir

As a church in the Anglo-Catholic tradition, All Saints has always valued the power of music to enhance the religious experience. Generations of children and adults have passed through the choir. All have benefited in many ways from expanding their musical knowledge to making lifelong friends. The choir has a special atmosphere of mutual support and cooperation. There is an active social programme.

Concert Series

Every year we take advantage of the church's superb acoustics to hold a series of concerts.

Our Mission

To be open to God and open to one another

Our Vision

All Saints’ Church provides a welcoming and inspiring environment for Christian worship and learning.

We aim to use our Christian faith, talents, and commitment to shine the light of the risen Christ into the world around us and draw near the mystery and wonder of God in all that we do.

We strive to be inclusive, tolerant, caring, and supportive – both within the church and the wider community.

Children & Youth

Children are always welcome in All Saints at any time

We have a dedicated Children’s Corner where they can access quiet toys, books, drawing and craft materials and worksheets if they want some time out during the service. Refreshments are served to them at the end of the Sunday 10 am service.

All Age Service

Each third Sunday the 10 am service is called the All Age Service. It is shorter and children participate. The Junior Choir sing and everyone is welcome.

Small Saints

Our young children’s group (aged 3 to 10)  meets on the Second Sunday of each month (except July and August) at 10 am for an hour. We do crafts, music and stories based on a Christian theme in a relaxed atmosphere in the church hall. Each session is led by our approved children’s leaders. Parents can stay or leave as they please.

Junior Choir

On a Wednesday during term time, we offer free group singing lessons to primary ages 6 to 11 year-olds in our Junior Choir Sessions from 3.35 pm to 4.30 pm. Fun, songs and hymns. The choir gets to sing at the 10 am All Age service on the 3rd Sunday of each month if they would like to.

Senior Choristers

Children from 11 years onwards can join our church choir. They rehearse on Friday evenings at present from 7.30 to 8.30pm.

Our history

The story of All Saints

All Saints is the youngest of the churches in the Parish of Mortlake with East Sheen. It was one of 25 churches proposed by Bishop Cyril F. Garrett after the First World War to meet the needs of a growing suburban population in the Diocese of Southwark. It was estimated that the development of private and borough housing would increase its numbers by some 300,000. The Bishop saw a great opportunity in this situation: he envisioned the establishment of an Anglican presence in the new communities which would serve both their religious and social needs.
